About Unicorn Inc.

What is a unicorn? A legendary creature, sure – and also the national animal of Scotland, which is where our story kicks off. At Unicorn Inc., we channel that same rare, slightly magical energy into helping people live more active lives, one ridiculously fun product at a time.

We bring disruptive brands to the UK, Europe and South Africa, focusing on gear that doesn’t just perform, but brings joy to people’s lives. Our partners are agile, growth‑hungry and unafraid to shake up their categories - and so are we.

From our home base in Scotland, with teams in Amsterdam and South Africa, we back this up with unrivalled operational capabilities, omni channel expertise and a willingness to step into the unknown. We like to think we’re the behind‑the‑scenes sidekicks helping our customers look good, move more and win a little bigger.

We’re a small, dynamic crew that believes in hard work, creativity, growth and having fun while we’re at it. We are the exclusive UK and European partner for goodr, Versus Socks, Sprints and Body Glide, and the exclusive partner for Grayl in the UK and Ireland.

About The Role

Are you the kind of person who notices the ad, clicks the email, spots the typo on the landing page, and immediately starts thinking about how it could be better? As our Junior Digital Marketing Executive, you’ll support the day-to-day delivery of Unicorn’s digital marketing activity across South Africa and Europe, helping bring campaigns to life across multiple channels.

Based in our South African office and reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, you’ll help execute digital campaigns across paid social, search, email, website, and content. You’ll play an important role in creating and coordinating marketing assets, helping build ads, loading campaigns, monitoring performance, and keeping our digital channels fresh, accurate, and on-brand. You’ll also work closely with colleagues in the UK office, supporting shared campaigns and helping make sure activity is delivered smoothly across markets.

This is a great role for someone early in their career who wants broad exposure to digital marketing while building strong hands-on experience in paid ads, content, reporting, and campaign execution.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Digital Marketing Manager in the planning, setup, and delivery of digital campaigns across South Africa and Europe.
  • Assist with creating, building, and uploading digital ads across platforms such as Meta, Google, and other relevant channels, including copy, visuals, audience inputs, and campaign set-up.
  • Help monitor paid campaign performance, budgets, and pacing, flagging issues and opportunities for optimisation.
  • Draft and adapt basic ad copy, social copy, email content, website copy and supporting creative assets in line with the appropriate tone of voice, visual identity and campaign goals.
  • Support the creation and coordination of digital assets, working with internal teams to make sure ads and campaign materials are delivered on time.
  • Assist with updating website content, landing pages, product pages, and campaign pages to ensure content is accurate, engaging, and conversion-focused.
  • Help schedule and publish content across social media and other digital channels.
  • Support email marketing activity, including building sends, segmenting lists, checking content, maintaining CRM flows, and tracking campaign performance.
  • Assist with affiliate marketing administration, including preparing creative assets, maintaining partner trackers, supporting outreach, checking links and helping monitor performance.
  • Pull together regular performance reports using platform dashboards and analytics tools, highlighting key results and basic insights.
  • Conduct research on competitors, audiences, keywords, and digital trends to support campaign planning and optimisation.
  • Work closely with the UK office and other internal stakeholders to help coordinate campaigns, share updates, and keep projects moving across markets.
  • Maintain marketing calendars, trackers, and campaign documentation so activity is organised and easy to manage.
  • Support ad hoc digital marketing tasks as the team grows, bringing a proactive attitude and willingness to learn new tools and channels.

What You’ll Bring

  • 1–2 years of experience in a digital marketing, marketing coordinator, or junior marketing role, or strong relevant internship experience.
  • May or may not have a degree... we don’t care.
  • Basic hands-on exposure to paid ads, especially Meta and/or Google Ads, with an interest in learning how to create and optimise campaigns.
  • Strong written communication skills and confidence drafting copy for ads, email, social, or web.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines at once.
  • A curious, proactive attitude and comfort working in a fast-moving environment.
  • Must have a good attitude and not afraid to ask questions.
  • Owning a unicorn or golden retriever is a big plus.
  • Confidence using digital and creative tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, CRM platforms, or similar systems is a plus.
  • Comfortable collaborating with teammates in different locations, including the South African and UK offices.

What You’ll Get

  • Pay check, duh.
  • To be part of a company that’s fun and growing quickly.
  • Employee discount.
