Customer Service Associate.

As our Customer Service Associate, you’ll be the friendly face (and voice!) behind our ecommerce stores across the UK, Europe, and South Africa.

Salary Range: R240,000-270,000
Location: Stellenbosch, Western Cape

About Unicorn Inc.

What is a Unicorn? Well, it is a mythical creature and happens to be the National Animal of Scotland. And…

At Unicorn Inc., we exist so everyone can enjoy an active lifestyle. We bring fun, innovative, and fast-growing brands to South Africa, the UK, and Europe. All from our HQ in Edinburgh and our new location in Stellenbosch.

A key part of our business sits within the running industry, working closely with products, brands, and customers who care deeply about performance, fit, and function. We’re a small, dynamic team that values hard work, collaboration, and getting things done properly.

We’re now looking for a proactive, solution-driven Customer Service Associate who understands runners—either through industry experience or by being a runner themselves.

The Role

As our Customer Service Associate, you’ll be the friendly face (and voice!) behind our ecommerce stores across the UK, Europe, and South Africa. You’ll support customers, respond to emails and DMs, keep our social channels helpful and positive, and jump in to pick, pack, and ship orders from Stellenbosch when needed.

If you’ve got a friendly personality, a passion for running, a can-do attitude, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this role will be right up your street.

What You’ll Be Getting Up To

  • Be the first point of contact across multiple ecommerce sites.
  • Respond to emails, chats, tickets, and social media messages through Gorgias.
  • Managing DMs and comments on social media.
  • Handle questions about orders, products, returns, and exchanges.
  • Keep customer interactions up to date and documented.
  • Work with the warehouse team to solve order or stock issues.
  • Spot recurring problems and flag opportunities to improve.

Order Processing (Pick, Pack & Ship)

  • Assist with picking, packing, and dispatching orders.
  • Ensure orders go out accurately and on time.
  • Process returns and restock items in good condition.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Work closely with our UK and European teams to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Highlight trends, issues, or opportunities to enhance the customer experience.
  • Bring a positive, can-do attitude—even on busy days.

What You’ll Bring

  • Friendly, clear communication—email, chat, or DM.
  • Customer service or ecommerce experience (social media experience is a bonus!).
  • A genuine interest in running, fitness, or the active lifestyle space.
  • Ability to juggle multiple websites, systems, and tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Calm, solutions-focused approach to tricky situations.
  • Willingness to help with order fulfilment.
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to work quickly and accurately.

If you’ve got a can-do attitude and a passion for helping people, we’ll give you all the training you need to shine.
